Qualification Purpose:

The TQUK Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance provides learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to work in advice and guidance. The mandatory units cover interacting with clients, legislation and procedures, operating within networks, managing their personal case load and evaluate and developing their own contribution to the service. There is also a range of optional units which allow the learner to develop their skills in a range of areas chosen to suit their personal development and the needs of their job role

Assessment Method:

This unit equips learners with the essential understanding of national, local, and organisational legislation and procedures that impact their role in advice and guidance. Learners will explore legal frameworks related to equality, data protection, health and safety, and professional codes of conduct. The unit addresses how to respond to urgent or unexpected situations, and how to accurately record and report information. It also encourages critical reflection on how personal beliefs and attitudes can influence interactions and decision-making within client services.
